Obituary

Betty Ann Kayackas (Wrentmore), age 79, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Betty Ann was raised in Bedford, where she graduated from Bedford High School. She went on to build a dedicated career with Stouffer’s Hotels, working for 20 years in their Information Systems organization.

Betty Ann was the beloved wife of Jack, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage, celebrating their golden anniversary this past March. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Jennifer (Mark Sauber) and son John Kayackas, and a proud and loving grandmother to Ethan and Drew, who brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Pattin and Robert Wrentmore, and her brother, Robert (Robin/Bob) Wrentmore.

Betty Ann will be remembered for her infectious smile, warm spirit, and unwavering positive outlook on life. She cherished time spent with her close circle of friends, especially enjoying card games and mahjong. She also found great joy in her hobbies, including creating meaningful videos from cherished family photos and home movies—particularly those featuring her grandchildren—along with reading, puzzles, and spending treasured time with her family.

Her kindness, love, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages or to a charity of the donor’s choice in celebration of Betty Ann’s life. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.
