Betty Lou Smith, 71, of Silver Springs, passed away August 1, 2016 at her home.  She came to this area 18 years ago from her native, Jackson, MI.  She was retired from the food service industry and was Protestant by faith.  Betty enjoyed crafts and working on her computer.  She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Barbara J. Jones and Deborah S. Kirkland of Jackson, MI; her mother, Jerine Foster, 7 siblings and 2 grandchildren, Nichole and Jessica Jones.  A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at a later date in Jackson, MI.  Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremation 954 E.
