Betty Jean (Fox) Willie of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. Betty Jean was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Lex and Mary Fox on November 26, 1928.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lex and Mary (Hicks) Fox; father of children, Jonas Willie; sisters, Gwendolyne Pack and Kathleen Dees; and brother, Lex Fox.

She is survived by her daughter, Janis Woods (husband Paul Woods) of Hawaii; son, Jonas Willie (wife Janet Willie) of New York; brothers, Sequoyah Fox and Quentin Fox; grandchildren, Wendy Marks (husband Ikaika Marks), and Jessica Keller (partner Andrew Vant); great grandchildren (her "precious angels"), Darriene Marks, Kamryn Marks, Landon Keller, Peyton Keller, Pyper Keller; and countless friends she considered family.

Betty Jean, "BJ", was a dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene. Born a Native American, she was a proud member of the Cherokee Indian Nation. BJ made a career for herself as a manager for a major cosmetic company. Betty Jean was a beautiful, selfless woman who dedicated her long life to family, friends, and her church. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by us all.
