GULOW

Beverly Bayne Gulow, 91, a resident of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully  on May 17th, 2017 just 10  days after her 91st birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Erma  and her beloved husband, "Bob", Robert Adolf Gulow.  Beverly is survived by her only son; Dr. Mark E. Gulow D.O. ,of Traverse City, Michigan and her three grandchildren; Alexander Gulow , Benjamin Gulow and Lydia Gulow all from Traverse City, Michigan. Her grandchildren called her "Nana"  and her many friends called her "Bev". She was a devoted mother to her son Mark and  wife to her Husband  Bob. She earned a Nursing degree from John  Hopkins Hospital during World War II  and practiced as a nurse in Springfield Mass. at Pioneer  Pediatrics till her retirement in 1980.  Bev loved her friends, her house, the beach, playing the piano, playing old records on her old record player. She was an avid reader  and was a proud volunteer at the New Smyrna Beach Library for many years. She was full of Life  and a fighter all her blessed long Life. In lieu of Flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Springfield College, 263 Alden St., Springfield,  Ma. 01109.   She will be buried next to her "Bob" in Springfield, Mass. at Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
