IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly
Harman
February 12, 1936 – April 27, 2025
Beverly Ann Roushey (Harman) Rochester, NY — Beverly Ann Roushey (Harman), aged 89, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Blossburg, PA, to Margaret and Howard Roushey, Beverly was one of twin daughters and is survived by her beloved sister, Nancy Dahl of Bardstown, KY. She spent her formative years in Canton, NY, where she graduated from Canton High School. Beverly earned her undergraduate degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she cultivated a lifelong passion for art and design. Her keen eye for fashion, color, and beauty was evident in her professional work, her home, and her personal style. In her later years, she found comfort and happiness residing in Sarasota, FL.
Beverly was known for her kind and caring nature, embracing life with warmth and an open heart. She had a profound love for animals and shared a special bond with her cherished cat, Sammie, who was her faithful companion for many years.
She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Tammy, and son, Scott, and a proud grandmother to Lauren and Brian Harman (wife Allie), and great-grandson Elliot. Beverly's creativity, kindness, and quiet strength touched the lives of those around her, leaving behind a legacy of love and gentle resilience. Her friendships and extended family brought her immense joy and were deeply treasured.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Harman and Urban Meyer, whose memories she held close to her heart.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered support during Beverly's final days—whether through visits, meals, flowers, or kind words. Your compassion will always be remembered.
Currently, no funeral services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Sarasota County, reflecting her enduring love for animals.
