Bill Wootten (84) of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away at Advent Hospital/Ormond Beach surrounded by his family on April 13, 2022.  Bill was born on August 26, 1937, in Ione, Arkansas to Cullen C. and Ella Cox Wootten.  He grew up and attended school in Ozark, Arkansas.  He graduated from Texas A & M University – Commerce (formerly East Texas State University) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  He moved to Dallas, Texas to begin a long and decorated career in the Aviation Industry. He spent 25 years at Braniff International Airlines achieving the position of Director of Financial Analysis and Budgets.  After moving to Florida, he went on to serve as the Vice President of Finance and Administration for a new start-up airline prior to retiring.

He was honorably discharged from the National Guard of Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Gail Wootten, his children Jennifer Holcomb and Christopher Wootten, and his grandchild Clayton Wootten.

Bill's ashes will be sprinkled in the Garden at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Daytona Beach on Saturday, June 4, 2022 in a private ceremony.
