Obituary

Billie June Wohlgemuth, 97, of Ocala, FL passed away May 5, 2026.

Billie was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1928 to Bessie & Avery Tobey. She married Albert Wohlgemuth and moved to Syracuse Ny in 1948. She relocated permanently to Ocala Florida in 1989.

Billie was an exceptional homemaker, avid crafter & artist. Her work included painting, miniatures, ceramics, sewing, paper crafts, models, doll making and lampwork. She made many beautiful things over the years which she gifted to her family and close friends. Her husband and her owned Al’s Cycle Shop in North Syracuse NY, until they retired and moved to Florida.

Billie and her sister Hallie owned a Ceramics Shop in North Syracuse NY, where they made crafts & held miniatures meetings. They gave it up when the motorcycle shop needed more room for growth.

Billie was kind, sweet and loved by her entire family, including everyone she met along the way. She will be greatly missed. There will be no service. Just a Celebration of Life.

Billie was preceded in life by her Father Avery Tobey, her mother Bessie Lee Moculeski, her husband Albert Wohlgemuth, her Brother James Ripka, her daughter Sharan McKenzie and son Daniel Wohlgemuth.

She is survived by her sister Hallie Seales of Ocala Fl, her grandchildren Michael McKenzie (Colleen) Ithaca Ny, Scott McKenzie (Kristen) Connecticut, Jeffrey McKenzie (Dora) Rhode Island, Stephanie Hein (James) Ocala Fl, her great grandchildren Emily McKenzie, Benjamin McKenzie, Jaden McKenzie , Tyler McKenzie, Carver Morley & Aurora Hein, and several nieces and nephews.
