Billy Joe Friend 83 of Port Orange ,Florida passed away peacefully on June 11,2023. He was born in Pulaski ,Virginia on September 5,1939 to Malcolm and Minnie Friend.

Billy attended high school, after which time he enlisted in the US Air Force. He went on to retire as a truck driver.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Arlene Friend . His sons Leland Friend (Freddie) , Joe Friend (patty) . He was also a loving Grandfather to Amanda Reed, Megan Godwin (Jon),Eric Friend. As well as a Great Grandfather to Kiersten Reed (Andrew) , Zemiyah Hendricks, Addison Reed, Dion Williams, Joniyah Godwin, Major Godwin and Brenten Reed.

Billy was proceeded in death by his mother and father, brothers and sisters and his grandson Ryan Friend.

Billy enjoyed porch sitting, spending time with family and friends,working on antique cars, cars shows and eating . Billy will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family. He was a funny, kind, loving and generous man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service for Billy will be held at 4:00 pm . Friday June 16,2023 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Port Orange, Florida.
