Billy Joe Guthrie, Sr., 84, of Ocala passed away September 2, 2016.  Born in Cresley, FL, he has resided in the Ocala area for over 60 years.  He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Marion County.  Mr. Guthrie enjoyed the outdoors, reading his bible and spending time with his family.  He is survived by his sons, Dennis Guthrie of Belleview, FL, Kim John Guthrie (Theresa) of Ocala, Forest Glenn Guthrie of Ocala, Rory Guthrie (Brenda) of Ocala and Billy Joe Guthrie, Jr. of Georgia; sisters, Josephine Mulden of Lake City, FL and Mildren Muldeen of California; former wife, Alma Rae Guthrie, 18 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.  He will be interred with a private ceremony at Melrose Eliam Cemetery in Melrose, FL at a later date.  Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremation 954 E.
