Obituary

Bill Hope was born on August 19th, 1934 in Campbell, Missouri to James and Dolly Hope. Unexpectedly he passed away from a heart attack on October 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his older brother Bob Hope in 1984, his stepson Cary Freel in 1985, his father James Hope in 1993, his mother Dolly Hope in 1994 , and his grandson Robbie in 2023.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Martha Hope, who affectionately called him "Hoppe, his sister, Katherine (Al) Schult, children from his previous marriage, Roxi, James, Billie Milligan, Marcia, Jeffrey, and Patricia (Mark) Goodman, along with Martha's children, Raymond Freel, Scott Freel and Renee (David) Nosakowski. Bill is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Bill was very adventurous, he and Martha would go on road trips often and vacation to warm climates every chance they got. Some of his favorite things in his life were a nice set of boobs, he loved going to hooters, his motorcycle, boating, golfing, playing cards, listening to music, and drinking beer.

Bill was an avid golfer, if he wasn't out on the course, he was watching it on tv. Once retired, Bill worked at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Macomb, MI to stay active, involved and near the game he loved so much. Bill and Martha loved to vacation in Maui before they permanently moved to Florida in 2007. Once they settled in, Bill went to work at Pelican Pointe Golf and Country Club in Venice, FL for a few years before an age-old injury made it difficult for him to be on his feet for prolonged periods of time. After leaving the golf course, Bill began working for Carroll Buick GMC doing dealer trades. Bill loved driving, even at the ripe age of 90, he would still do long drives from Venice, FL to Miami or to the east coast of Florida.

Bill was a "man's man." His only complaint had to do with getting old and that was only during the last few months of his life.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
