Billy Ray West, 72, passed from this life March 13, 2018. Born in Medford,Oregon on September 13, 1945, he was the only son of the late Glen and Marcene (Wilson) West.Billy served in the US Army as an SP4 Infantry radio mechanic in the 75th Artillery Group attached to the Army Corp of Engineers in the Vietnam War from 1966-67. As a retiree, he became a member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1036 in Lady Lake, FL.Billy had a long career working for Southern California Edison, then for Proctor and Gamble in Oxnard, CA. In 2006, he retired to Pahrump, NV where he worked as a security officer for Lakeside RV Park and Casino, and for Saddle West Casino. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, furniture refinishing, woodworking, jewelry making, and writing poetry.In 2016, Billy and his wife, Sue, moved to Water Oak Golf Community in Lady Lake, FL with their beloved Yorkie, Sadie.Billy is survived by Sue, his wife of 22 years, who resides in Florida; his daughter Jaymie Arquilevich and her husband, Gabriel; his stepson Todd Szklennik; and three grandchildren, Milandra, Isaac, and Holden Arquilevich. His children and grandchildren reside in California.

Billy will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
