It is with great sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Bonita “Bonnie” Verette on May 18, 2026 at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, Florida.

Bonnie found happiness in life’s simple moments. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished making lasting memories with her family and friends. Though she was a woman of few words, her quiet presence brought comfort and peace to those around her. Her thoughtful actions and steadfast love said more than words ever could.

Born a twin on October 8, 1944, Bonnie was one of eight children. She and her siblings were raised in Hartford, WI before later moving to Milwaukee, WI.

On August 19, 1967, she married Thomas J. Verette. Together they built a life raising their children in East Troy, WI. In retirement, Bonnie and Tom spent the past 20 years in The Villages, FL.

Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Tom; their children, Christopher (June) Verette, Elizabeth Dessent, and Lisa (Jason) Adcock; her grandchildren, Robert, David, Gabrielle, Amelia, Jaden, and Elliana; four brothers, two sisters; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch.
