Bonnie Jean Reed, 81, of New Smyrna Beach passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2011 at  her home.      Bonnie was born September 24, 1929 in Marfrance, West Virginia.  Bonnie was the oldest of four children.  Her sisters Patty, Della Lee, and brother Gene raised by parents Ada and Raymond Holstein.  Bonnie married Herbert Donald Reed in 1949.  They had four children Brenda, Joyce, Sharon and James.  They moved from West Virginia to Sheffield Lake, Ohio in 1963, where they raised their children. Bonnie graduated in 1969 from St Joseph Hospital school of practical nursing. Bonnie and Herbert moved to Beaver West Virgina in 1989 when Herbert retired.  They loved their little piece of heaven and were very happy there.  Herbert passed away in 2001 and in 2007 Bonnie moved to New Smyrna Beach to live with daughter, Sharon.  Bonnie loved to cook for family and friends. She was a loving and caring mother and a friend to all she knew.    She is survived by her devoted children and their spouses; Brenda and Estill Hughes, Joyce and Bill Jackson, Sharon Smith and her Son James Reed.  Her cherished grandchildren, Dawn (Melissa Adcock) Hughes and David Hughes, Aaron and Amy Jackson and Kalee Smith.  Her treasured great granddaughter Alla Hughes.  Bonnie's Life Celebration will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach.
