Bonnie Lee
Roberts Wint
Aug 22, 1944 — Aug 7, 2026
Bonnie Lee Roberts Wint, 81, of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, at Cornerstone Hospice House, with her daughter by her side.
Bonnie was born August 22, 1944, in Windber, Pennsylvania, to Richard Edward Roberts and Sarah Virginia Langley. She graduated from Richland High School and went on to graduate from the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She began her career as a Registered Nurse and later continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Her dedication to nursing and desire to advance in her profession eventually led her back to school to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Bonnie married Samuel James Wint, M.D., on December 23, 1976. Together they built a life centered around family. Bonnie was especially proud of her daughter, Kristin, and later found tremendous joy in being a grandmother.
Her grandchildren were among the greatest joys of her life. She treasured their visits and the weeks they spent with her during summer vacations. Time with Grandma was filled with fun, but Bonnie also had a wonderful way of making learning part of every adventure. She introduced them to science, a “word of the day,” art projects, swimming, and countless experiences that encouraged them to be curious, creative, and interested in the world around them.
There were Disney trips and family vacations, but some of the family’s most treasured memories were made on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Bonnie loved the islands and especially loved shelling. She shared that love with her daughter and grandchildren, creating a family tradition that spanned generations. Days spent walking the beaches searching for shells, swimming, exploring, and simply being together became memories her family will carry with them always.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Kristin Lee Dixon (Keenan) of The Villages, Florida; her grandchildren, Austin Laurence Wright of Sarasota, Florida, Abigail Lee Wright of Dallas, Texas, and Landry Nicole Dixon of Sarasota, Florida; her sister, Diann Elaine Manning (Linwood) of The Villages, Florida; her uncle, Thomas Langley of Columbus, Ohio; her nephew, Richard Ryan Crook (Lisa) of Chesapeake, Virginia; her niece, Shannon Michelle Gharib (Johnnie) of McLean, Virginia; and her great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel James Wint, M.D.; her parents, Richard Edward Roberts and Sarah Virginia Langley; and other cherished family members.
Bonnie leaves behind much more than the milestones of a life well lived. She leaves her family with a love of learning, a sense of curiosity, treasured traditions, and memories of summers, holidays, Disney trips, and days spent searching for shells along the Gulf.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date, when Bonnie’s ashes will be joined with those of her husband and returned to the waters near their beloved Sanibel Island.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Cornerstone Hospice House, in gratitude for the extraordinary compassion, dignity, and peaceful care provided to Bonnie and her family during her final days. www.cornerstonehospice.org
