Boyd Edwin DeMond, 80, of Bradenton, Florida passed peacefully at Bradenton Hospice House after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Boyd was born on December 31, 1943, in Groton, NY. He was the son of Harry & Anna DeMond.

Boyd worked for many years as a bricklayer/journey men and traveled all over the southern west coast and built smoke stacks.

Boyd enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, cooking, and his vegetable gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Anna DeMond, brother Claire DeMond, and son, Markie DeMond. Boyd is survived by his wife, Elsie DeMond; two sons, Michael DeMond and Christopher DeMond; a daughter, Patricia (Richard) Dillon; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Shadoe) Sherlock, Shane (Marique) Arrant, and MacKenzie (Dave) Sherlock; two great grandchildren; Harloe Arrant, Roen Arrant, and another one on the way; one brother, Russell (Phyllis) DeMond and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
