Obituary

Brenda Ann (Farren) Embrescia passed away peacefully in The Villages, Florida, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 after a brief illness.

Brenda was the daughter of the late Anna (Bunk) Farren and Martin Michael Farren of Cleveland, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, Michael Embrescia, and daughters Anna Marie Embrescia (Paul Bylaska), Connie Bucher (Kim Bucher), and Tammy Ryan (Terry Ryan). She was a beloved grandmother to Katie Ryan Craig (Alex Craig), Megan Ryan Geib (Frank Geib), Allison Bucher Hibbs (Ian Hibbs), and Wesley Bucher, and great-grandmother to Frankie Geib, Jr.  She was a loving sister to Louise (Bruno Mediate), Elaine Kovach (the late Jerome Kovach), and John Farren (Roblyn), and was predeceased by her brother Martin Farren, Jr. (Linda).  Brenda was also a cherished aunt to numerous nieces and nephews who live throughout the  country.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Brenda graduated from Jane Addams High School with a focus in cosmetology. She worked as a hairdresser in Cleveland for many years and became co-owner, with her sister Louise, of Especially for You Salon.

A devout Catholic, Brenda was deeply involved in her church community at Our Lady of Angels (Cleveland, OH), where she volunteered in various roles. She was also active in the Mother's Club at Magnificat High School in Rocky River, Ohio, where her daughters attended. Brenda enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and traveling — yet her greatest passion was her love for family and friends.

She was known for hosting large family gatherings, holidays, and special celebrations at her home alongside her husband, Michael, and their daughters. Brenda was a kind and spirited soul who always looked for ways to serve others.
