Brenda Lee Nicholson, 59, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022.  Brenda was born October 27, 1962 to Cecil G. and Lela Ruth (Davis) Nicholson and lived in St. Clair Shores, MI till her family moved to Daytona Beach in 1965.  While growing up, the beach was her playground, since her family went there most days. She attended local schools and graduated from Mainland High School. Though she never had a lesson, Brenda could sing, knew all the lyrics to popular songs, and in her young teens could have stood in for Stevie Nicks in any of Fleetwood Mac's recordings.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandniece Nathalie Lambert-Gilliam.

Brenda is survived by her brothers Rick (Cheryl) and Tom (Dawn) Nicholson, her sister Donna (Tom) Lambert, seven nieces and nephews and many cousins, her daughter Rebecca Ruth Bailey-Kennedy and her daughter's father Scott Bailey, her step-granddaughter Farrah, grandsons Connor and Jaden Kennedy and her life-long friend and beloved husband John David Lawrence III, whom she married February 13, 2015.

Brenda's family will celebrate her life Saturday, January 22 watching the sun set on New Smyrna Beach.
