Brenda Sue Poteat (Sweet Pea to family) from Leesburg, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2026, after a short illness. 

Brenda was born in Uniontown, Pa on April 27, 1950 to Paul and Erma Poteat. Brenda graduated from Washington College, Chestertown, MD in 1983 with a B.A. in English and Drama. She loved to travel and did so as a missionary to Russia, China and Nigeria. She was an effective communicator especially evident when she prayed. 

She is survived by her sister Dianne, brothers Stephen and Paul Jr. and their extended families. While a memorial service date has yet to be scheduled, her memory and passion for the Gospel of Christ lives on.
