Brenden Michael Watkins, known as "Grassy," 17, passed away due to gun violence on December 25, 2025. He was born in Orlando, Florida at 1:13 p.m. on March 5, 2008, to Jennifer and Trenton Watkins. 

Brenden learned strength, sacrifice, loyalty, and unconditional love. He was a proud, loving son and a protective brother who dreamed of creating a better life for his family. He will be remembered for his smile, loyalty, and deep love for those closest to him. 

Though his time was brief, his spirit lives on through family, friends and memories.

He is survived by his mother Jennifer, father Trenton, brothers Nathaniel and Cayden Watkins; grandparents the Patituce, Traynors, and Watkins; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

A celebration of life service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M., January 9, 2026 at Cornerstone Church, 2813 Howland Blvd, Deltona FL 32725
