Brent Strasser, 66, of Wheeling, WV and The Villages, FL passed away on October 17, 2026 in The Villages, FL after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Brent was born on December 29, 1959 to F. Lee and Martha Strasser in Wheeling, WV. He is survived by his wife, Judy; his daughter Ashley (Daniel) Rabe of Sewickley, PA; and two grandchildren, James and Emma Rabe. Brent was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carol Strasser.

Brent graduated from The Linsly School in 1978 and went on to earn his degree from West Liberty University in 1983. He was the owner of Strasser’s Paint and Decorating in Wheeling, before transitioning to a sales position with Mail America. After years in the workforce, Brent chose to retire at an early age, allowing him to devote more time to one of his longstanding interests, investing. Brent was a longtime member of Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church and then Christ Community Church.

Brent had many interests throughout his life, finding joy in both staying active and spending time supporting the people he loved. In his younger years, he enjoyed running, tennis, and golf, with running becoming a passion he proudly passed along to his daughter. He could often be found along cross-country courses, enthusiastically cheering her on. That same enthusiasm and dedication carried into his later years, when he became a devoted supporter of his grandchildren, cheering them on at their sporting events and swim meets.

As the years went by, Brent discovered a new passion for pickleball, a sport he continued to enjoy until recently. He also took great pleasure in working in his yard. Brent was always happy to share his knowledge and offer advice to anyone who asked. Whether he was pursuing his favorite activities, cheering from the sidelines, or tending to his yard, Brent embraced the things he loved and found meaningful ways to share his interests with those around him.

Brent will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We are comforted that Brent knew and loved Jesus, and that we will see him again someday.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
