Brian Collins's Obituary

Brian Joseph Collins, 44, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, died suddenly on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Halifax Memorial Hospital in Daytona Beach.

Brian, while riding his bicycle home from work, was tragically struck by a motorist and succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Born in New Smyrna Beach on September 15, 1974, Brian enjoyed fishing, electronics, computers, movies, family, friends, and comedy.  He had a great ambition to succeed and was able to overcome many challenges in life.  He was a student of ITT Technical Institute, though he found his true calling when he realized he had the gift of gab and could make anyone laugh.  He enjoyed making people feel entertained.  In Brian's own words, he was a "ladies man", and between his personality and looks, he knew how to make everyone feel special.  A kind-hearted gentle man and father, he was strong, smart, funny, and caring.  He knew how to cheer anyone up no matter how bad of a day they were having. Brian could approach a complete stranger and later become their loyal friend.  His personality was like none other, and after discovering one of his favorite actors Jim Carey, he embodied his funny, outrageous personality on a daily basis, bringing joy to life and living one day at a time.

Brian is survived by his beloved Mother, Judith Beard, his daughters Cheyenne 24, Kylie 7, Khloe 2, his three grandchildren, Chydan, Jordan, and Brydan, his brothers Jimmy Collins 41, and Jason Collins 38, as well as his many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  As we celebrate the past life of Brian Collins, we know in our hearts that he is finally reunited with his son Trenton along with other passed loved ones.

Celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 13th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
