Brian Y Perez, age 73, passed from this life on July 28, 2024 in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida.

Brian was born on September 18, 1951 in Fort Lauderdale where he grew up. He then met and married the love of his life, Chris.

Brian and Chris resided in Illinois for many years where he worked at Chrysler as a proud union electrician until his retirement. He fulfilled his dream of living on the beach in Florida, in the state he was born in. Brian was known as the book of knowledge to his family and friends. He was also known for his one-liner dad jokes. Brian and Chris were passionate about their road trips and time with family and friends.

He enjoyed a good cup of coffee in the morning while he kept in touch with family through echo. He was known as the grill master for grilling a mean steak, even if it meant using a mag light in the middle of winter. He was an avid nature buff who enjoyed bird watching and fishing, working out, being on his iPad, and he even played a little guitar back in the day. He was a kind and gentle soul, he would do anything for anyone. He truly loved and lived life to the fullest.

Brian is survived by his wife, Chris Perez, his children, Stefanie Hill and Nicholas Perez (Veronica) and preceded in death by his son, Richard Perez. Grandchildren Lindsay Hill, Logan Hill, Brielle Perez, Nicolette Perez, and Alexandria Perez. Brother Bill DuMond (Donna) and preceded in death by brother Chic Perez and so many more loved family members.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 2 at 2 PM with a 3Pm service to follow at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 620 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, FL 32127. Brian's wishes were that attendees wear Hawaiian Shirts or colorful attire, shorts are acceptable as well.
