On May 6, 2021, Brigitte Eva Corkern, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 88.

Brigitte was a fiercely dedicated mother and grandmother to all her children and grandchildren.  Family came first and was above all else to Brigitte, a value she instilled in all those around her.  The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Brigitte was predeceased by three of her daughters: Joan Evelyn Corkern, Rosemary Corkern and Alice Katherine Eva Corkern.  She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Marvin E. Corkern and 4 children: Mary Ruth Corkern, Robert Lee Corkern, Shirley Ann Bigger and Allen Raymond Corkern as well as 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, 359 W. New York Ave., Deland, Florida 32720.
