Brittany Lynn Weiss of Punta Gorda, FL, passed unexpectedly on March 9, 2026 at age 39. 

Predeceased by her father John H Weiss, she is survived by her mother, Lorraine M. Weiss of Punta Gorda, FL and brother, Ryan A. Weiss of Webster, NY, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially her special cousin Jillian Baron of Niagara Falls, NY.; special friend and coworker, Michelle, and next door neighbors Walter and Sharon who were Brittany’s marathon running partners. 

Brittany was a loving and vibrant light to everyone. She enjoyed running, biking, and kayaking year round. She loved animals and was a dedicated cat mom to her calico cat “Punkin". She and her mom volunteered at the Animal Welfare League of Port Charlotte. Brittany was a beautiful person and will be sorely missed. 

Brittany’s ashes will be interred next to her father for eternity at Riverside Cemetery in Rochester NY. Donations in her name may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Port Charlotte. A celebration of Brittany’s life will take place in Rochester this summer.
