Bruce Allan Motycka, 85, peacefully went home to the Lord on May 2, 2026. Bruce was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 1, 1940, to Lily and Ladislav Motycka. Bruce graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in civil engineering and worked as a Professional Engineer for the entirety of his career. He guided construction of and inspected many bridges across Florida and the southeastern United States, most notably the Dames Point bridge in Jacksonville.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Lily and Ladislav, his daughter Monica, and wife Margaret. He is survived by his sister Joan, his children Brian, Brent, and Debra, grandchildren Braden, Bryce, Elise, and Brianna.

Services will be held at Shepherd of the Woods Lutheran Church.
