Bruce Wayne Rebelak (Papa Bruce) age 74, born September 14,1950 in Rockford, Illinois passed away peacefully Sunday morning March 9th in Port Charlotte, FL surrounded by his family. Married to Charmaine Bonzi, April 30th 1979. He was drafted into the Marines at age 19 before working at Rockford Powertrain for 30 years. He was a member of the Verdi Club for many years. During retirement he continued working for Cub Foods. He made it a priority to support his grandchildren in bowling and all their other activities. In later years he found his paradise home in Port Charlotte, FL and enjoyed his many friends and family in Port Charlotte Village. He loved his daily golf cart rides where he was known for his humor, socializing with all the neighbors, fishing, and searching for the local gator. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. Bruce is survived by his wife Charmaine, his two sons Bruce Jr. (Carol), Tony and daughter Rosemary (Sam "Sonny"). Grandchildren Darby (Lauryn), Stephanie (Corey), Damon, Tory (Tina), brother Gary, many nieces, nephews, special friends and extended family. Predeceased by father Edward, mother Irma and grandmother Barbara. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
