Bruce Edward Sizemore, age 84, of Alva, FL and long-time resident of Fort Myers, FL. passed away peacefully, VITAS Health Care/Lee Health Hospital on December 24th 2024

Born October 16, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Bruce was the son of George Sizemore and Mabel Quick (maiden name). Bruce's musical background during his youth was with the Columbus Boychoir school.  He was on the golf team at Raleigh High School and Franklin and Marshall College golf Team.  He graduated from William and Mary, PA, Master's Degree in Engineering

After college went into the Army, (Vietnam War) 1965 moved to Michigan to work for a paper company and then was hired by Ford in 1966.   Then transferred into Fords racing program.  He began competing at National events and scored his first modified win in 1973 Summernationals.  He was SIX time NHRA National Event Winner – which included (2) Major Victories:  1975 NHRA World Finals, Ontario, CA and 1978 NHRA U.S. Nationals, Indy

After his racing career,1998 he was licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator and, after many years as an Adminisrator he decided to join his wife Mary (Maria) in Real Estate, they enjoyed working as realtors selling in Lee County and his wife is still an active Realtor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Valenti) and his daughter, Doctor Kristine Sizemore of Michigan and her husband Kevin Bowen; 2 grandchildren, William and Zoe.  And his Sister, Joyce Crawford, of MD

He was preceded in death by his parents George Sizemore, and Mabel Quick and his brother George Sizemore, Jr.

A Memorial Service for the public will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 2438 2 ^nd Street, Fort Myers, Fl 33901, with light refreshments to follow.
