United States Military Veteran Carl Lamar Caddell, Jr. 86, of Edgewater died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 with his wife by his side.  Carl was born May 26, 1924 in Birmingham, AL to Carl L. and Clella Caddell.  He was a veteran of WW II serving with the US Army and worked as an Engineering Manager for Western Electric in Burlington, NC.  In 1985 he and his wife, Faye moved to this area from Burlington, NC.  Carl enjoyed fishing, camping and during his working years he was involved with numerous community service projects.  He and his wife served as Volunteers with the Bert Fish Medical Center with the Auxiliary. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Jane Pulliam.  Carl is survived by his loving wife, Faye; daughter, Kathleen Clark; two sons, Carl, III. and the Reverend Richard Caddell; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his sister, Ann Caddell.  Memorial donations are requested to Hospice of Volusia 4140 South Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL 32141 or Southeast Volusia Humane Society 100 South Glencoe Road New Smyrna Beach FL 32168.
