Carl Leon Herald, Sr., 76, of Edgewater, Fl went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Herald was born February 14, 1933 to Wayne Alexander Herald, Sr. and Edna Marie Cornes Herald in Crum, WV. He married his high school sweetheart on January 28, 1954 in Williamson, WV. Carl was drafted into the Army during the Korean War where he proudly served as a Tank Driver. He was ordained in Ministry in 1987 at Dunlow First United Baptist Church in West Virginia where he was previously serving as a Deacon. Carl was preceded in death by one child, Deloris Lavonn Herald and his mother and father. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Elsie Little Herald; son Carl Leon Herald, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Orange City; daughter, Tammy Herald Jerkins and her husband, Thomas of Mount Holly, NC; three grandchildren, Carl Holcomb, Stephanie gulley and Blake Herald; four great grandchildren, Tyler Gulley, Sienna Holcomb, Tanner Gulley and Carly Holcomb; two special children, Weo and Ginger; brothers, Edward Herald and Wayne Herald, Jr.; two sisters, Doris Herald Asbury and Lois Herald Justice and many nieces, nephews, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
