In Loving Memory of Carlos Arturo Morales (1937–2025)

Carlos Arturo Morales, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born on March 29, 1937, in Temuco, Chile, to Rosamel Morales and Maria Molina, Carlos lived a life defined by courage, resilience, and quiet devotion. At just 15, he left his rural upbringing in pursuit of broader opportunities in Santiago. There, under the care of his aunt Elvira, he completed his education and began forging his own path.

Carlos discovered his vocation on the road—first as a semi-truck driver and later as a tour bus operator—traveling across Chile with diligence and pride. It was on one of these journeys to Talcahuano that he met Maria Teresa, the love of his life, on March 8, 1970. The couple married eight months later, on February 26, 1971.

In 1976, a misdirected telegram—and what the family considers divine providence—led to a new beginning in the United States. Sponsored by a Christian church, Carlos and Maria Teresa immigrated to the U.S., initially settling in Indianapolis, Indiana, before eventually making their home in Orlando, Florida.

Carlos is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Maria Teresa; his children, Carlos Arturo Morales, Carlos Antonio Morales, and Cecilia Prather; and his beloved grandchildren, Karla, Bastian, Nicolas, Carlos and Antonia Morales, Gianna Lombardi, Taila Fergerson Morales.

A man of quiet strength and unwavering principle, Carlos led by example. He instilled in his children a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family. His love was expressed not through grand gestures, but through steadfast support and acts of service. He will be remembered with deep love, gratitude, and admiration by all who knew him.
