Serpa
Jun 26, 1955 — Jun 24, 2026
His warmth and generosity touched so many lives, leaving an enduring mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
With heavy hearts and deeply grateful love, we announce the passing of Carlos Serpa, affectionately known as "Dad" and "Grampy," on June 24, 2026, just two days before his 71st birthday.
Born on June 26, 1955, in New York City, Carlos lived a life filled with family, laughter, and the creation of priceless memories with those he loved most. He proudly served in the United States Army during his younger years—a testament to his unwavering dedication and strength. Later, he became known throughout Orlando as one of the very best Uber drivers, earning the admiration of countless passengers through his kindness, genuine conversations, and heartfelt care for others.
Carlos's greatest pride was being the devoted father of four children: Chelly, Brandon, Karla, and Marcus. Every moment with them was treasured, and he was an even more proud grandfather to Jomar, Alanis, Remington, Rowan, and Norah—who brought him endless happiness and love beyond measure. Also, his son-in-law, Blake, was one of his best friends.
He treasured the simple joys, spending time by the water and at the beach, dancing with infectious joy, and sharing coffee dates with his beloved daughter, Karla. Some of his happiest memories were made with his grandchildren or on family trips to the flea market, turning everyday outings into cherished moments.
Carlos will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his quick wit, and his gift for making everyone laugh. He was always impeccably dressed, a true social butterfly, someone who could strike up a heartfelt conversation with anyone. Above all, he was a loving father, a proud and caring grandfather, a loyal friend, and an unforgettable uncle. His warmth and generosity touched so many lives, leaving an enduring mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Though Carlos is no longer with us, his laughter, love, and the countless beautiful memories he crafted will forever remain in our hearts.
He leaves behind his children, Chelly, Brandon, Karla, and Marcus, and his treasured grandchildren, Jomar, Alanis, Remington, Rowan, and Norah.
In accordance with his heartfelt wishes, no formal service will be held. Instead, his ashes will be gently spread in the ocean, his beloved sanctuary where he found peace and joy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Karla Rainer.
Carlos will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving father, cherished Grampy, loyal friend, and a man whose laughter and warmth made every room brighter.
