Carlton "Carlie" Exford, 74, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Watertown, NY, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on June 23, 2016 after a brief illness.

Carlie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jill (Leonard) Exford, daughter Debbie (Bill) Petrus of Watertown, NY, son Chris (Laura) Exford of Columbia, SC, son Shawn Exford and his companion Kim Donegan of Watertown, NY, daughter Heather (Frank) Rebro of Ocala, FL, brother Gary (Carol) Exford of Watertown, NY, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He is predeceased by his parents Leland and Allison (Fleming) Exford and two brothers, Donald Exford and Colin Exford.

Carlie was born January 14, 1942 in West Carthage, NY. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962.  Following that, he spent many years as a retail manager for a number of companies.  From 1997 to the present, he worked as property manager for Automated Petroleum and Energy Company (APEC).  Carlie had a gift and passion for sales. This allowed him to work right up until his illness.

Carlie had a love of travelling and spending time with friends and family; he especially loved cruising and playing video poker.  He had a love of all animals, especially his beloved dog, Ricky and his parrot, Zoe.  Carlie also enjoyed watching NASCAR and his New York Giants.
