Carmen Paul Calfo passed peacefully on August 4, 2023 at Advent Hospice in Orlando, Florida. He was 68 years old. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia, his mother Irma, his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Maria Gimena. He was a proud grandfather to Mary Avalon, Seboa Benjamin and Gianni Luciano. Carmen is survived by his beloved siblings, sister Phylis Moneck, brother Peter Calfo, sister-in-law Susan Calfo, brother Carl Calfo and sister-in-law Robin Calfo.
Carmen was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 9, 1954. He graduated from North Catholic High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University School of Technology in 1975. Carmen's early career began in teaching then eventually turned to sales where he excelled because of his warm and enthusiastic personality. Carmen was the President of C & C National Inc. a company that he started with his son Christopher and participated in until his retirement.
A resident of Coral Springs for over 46 years, Carmen was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. He was a member of the St. Andrew Church Men's Club and participated in many of the church volunteer activities. After Carmen's retirement and move to St. Lucie County, he briefly became a Park Ranger then later served as a volunteer for the Avalon State Park.
Carmen's life was guided by his strong faith and love of his family. His hobbies included organic gardening saltwater aquarium/closed system agriculture, hiking, fishing and restoring antique British sports cars. He especially enjoyed traveling with his wife over the years to attend the weddings of his many nieces and nephews all over the country. It was a time shared with the family that he loved dearly. Carmen treasured his friends. He maintained meaningful friendships beginning in his youth to present day.
A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on September 22, 2023 at Blessed Trinity Church, Ocala, Florida. A Celebration of Life will be planned for Carmen in November to take place at Ocean Harbor North. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com
