Carol Ann (Ihrig) Fillyaw was born on March 21, 1956, in Washington, D.C., to Mary Lou (Nickson) Ihrig and William A. Ihrig. She relocated to Florida in 2007 and was residing in Bushnell, Florida, when on the morning of January 31, 2024, Carol passed at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL, due to complications resulting from a heart attack. She was an enthusiastic about literature and history, a passionate football fan, loved animals, and cared most for her family. Carol was the loving mother of Matthew and William with his wife Kathy. She was exceptionally proud of her four grandchildren: Jason, Christopher, Melodi, and Andrew. She is also survived by her brothers, and their families, James, Bill, David, and John. She was an exceptional woman with a loving soul, unexpectantly taken too soon, and will be incredibly missed by all who knew her.
