Carol Henrietta (Hyatt) Tolson, 80, of Ocklawaha, FL and Amsterdam, NY passed away June 3, 2017.  She was born in Amsterdam, NY to Leonard John and Charlotte Henrietta (Merz) Hyatt.  She retired from K-Mart in Amsterdam, NY in 2000 after 23 years of service.  Carol was Episcopal by faith and was Past President of the Amsterdam 7th Ward Republican Club, Past President of the Bigelow Sanford Soccer Club Auxiliary and was a member of the Amsterdam Irish American Club Auxiliary.  She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Edward C. Tolson; daughters, Dana L. Hart (Fred Hamel) of Ocklawaha, FL and Dawn L. Prevendoski (Mark) of Amsterdam, NY; brothers, Kenneth A. Hyatt (Judy) of TX, Leonard P. Hyatt (Lynda) of FL and Ward P. Hyatt (Pat Kahnert) of KS; sisters, Sandra Lucas (Chet) of CT, Doreen Sallisky (Eric) of CT, Deborah Lane (Thomas) of VT and Cheryl Hyatt (Christopher Pigott) of VA; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren with 1 on the way and 1 great great grandchild.  The family will receive friends at Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations (954 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala 236-5884) on Thursday (June 8th) from 10-11AM with Funeral Services at 11AM.  Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.  For those who wish, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Shriner's Hospital for Children or the Make a Wish Foundation.
