IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Jean
Williams
August 31, 1944 – November 4, 2024
Carol Williams, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on August 31, 1944, in Morristown, New Jersey, to Carl and Mable Gustafson, Carol's life was a testament to love, family, and resilience.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David Williams; her daughter, Natalie Walker, and son-in-law, Clint; and her two cherished granddaughters, Emma and Lauren Walker. She also leaves behind her sister, Marion Bolink; stepchildren, Cathy Deming, Christine Bergau, Janet Bryant (John), and David Williams III, along with their families; and an extended family who held her in deep affection. She was predeceased by her sister, Gloria Hettich, and her brother, Robert "Bobby" Gustafson.
Carol's greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. She shared a special bond with Emma and Lauren, treasuring every moment spent with them. Whether through her laughter, her wisdom, or her unwavering support, she made a lasting impact on their lives and the lives of everyone she loved. Carol's family was her heart, and she made sure they knew they were loved, often closing conversations with her signature words, "Love you more."
A lover of nature, Carol found peace in her garden, where her nurturing spirit blossomed. Her home was always a place of comfort, filled with warmth, love, and the beauty of simple moments. Known for her quick wit, infectious laughter, and boundless caring, Carol was a constant source of light to those who knew her. As a cancer survivor, she was a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society, dedicating years of her life to a cause that was near to her heart.
One of Carol's most cherished beliefs was inspired by the poem Footprints in the Sand. This beautiful verse reminded her that even in life's most trying moments, she was never alone—the Lord carried her through the toughest times. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering love will be missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Carol's life and legacy will be held after the holidays, allowing family and friends the chance to gather in remembrance of her remarkable spirit.
