Carole Joan Brady, 84, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life marked by independence, spirituality, and an appreciation for beauty and the finer things in life. Born in 1941 in New Brunswick, Carole spent her early years there before moving to the Jersey Shore shortly after the birth of her youngest child in 1973. She later spent her senior years living in Port Orange.

Carole worked as a licensed practical nurse and carried a lifelong interest in spirituality and personal growth. She enjoyed the comforts and pleasures of life and will be remembered in her own unique way by those who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Meaney-Gunter; her son-in-law, Lance Gunter; her granddaughters, Abigail, Elizabeth, and Lily; and her grandsons, Stephen, Michael, Jonathan, and Dylan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Thomas Clarke; her daughter, Catherine Filkohazi; her son, Thomas Filkohazi; and her husbands, Eugene Meaney and James Brady.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church on May 13 at 8:30 a.m.
