Carole Eckard, 90, Port Orange, passed away peacefully on June 22nd.

Carole was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts to Harold and Mary Gravlin. They moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1946.

In 1951, she married JD Eckard and celebrated 67 years of marriage until his death in 2018. They enjoyed camping and getting together with the friends they made in their camping groups.

Carole retired from Bealls department store as a sales associate to take care of her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Holly Hill.

She is survived by her children, Terry Speroni (Steven), JD Eckard, Jr.,(Sandy), Lorrie Blalock, (George) and Michael Eckard, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Carole was predeceased by her sister Nancy Wilder and brother Thomas Gravlin.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Port Orange Assisted Living Facility for the love and care they gave to Carole.

A celebration of life will be 11:00, Saturday July 11th at All Saints Lutheran Church, 751 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange.
