Carolina Maria Blanco Horne, age 60, passed away peacefully at home in Orlando,

Florida on February 5, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. Carolina was preceded in death by

her father Charles Horne and survived by her mother Kathleen and siblings Albertina (Scott),

Veronica (Antonio), Rosana (Omar), Guillermo (Mary), and Ramon (Jelianni). She will forever

be remembered by her niece/ goddaughter Dannielle (Will), nephew Charlie, and great niece

Laila Moon. Carolina will be dearly missed by countless family and friends who loved her.

Carolina was born on November 14, 1959 at Montgomery County General Hospital in

Maryland. She graduated from Archbishop Keough in 1977 and joined the Navy shortly

thereafter in 1979. In 1993 she received her Associate of Arts degree from Catonsville

Community College. Spending most of her life in Baltimore, she moved to Florida in the early

2000's. Carolina had a way of lighting up a room with her quick wit and massive personality…

always the smartest person there. She had an incredible love for her family and friends and was

selfless almost to a fault. Her love of animals earned her the nickname "Animal Whisperer" and

all of our fur babies loved her most.

They're having one heck of a party up in Heaven right now. Hopefully they're playing

Madonna and rooting for the Ravens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Carolina's name to the ASPCA.
