Carolyn Jean Barrero, age 78, of Ocala, FL, passed away peacefully on March 17 ^th , 2023, at home surrounded by loved ones. Carolyn was born on December 15 ^th , 1944, to her parents, Eugenia and Chester Trow in Erie, Pennsylvania. Carolyn worked for Publix for 27 years, which she held as one of her biggest accomplishments. She enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, and shopping. Carolyn's family and pets were her pride and joy. Her family and friends will always remember her as the most loving, kind, and bravest women that they couldn't be prouder of. Carolyn demonstrated perseverance, strength, and loyalty in every aspect of her life.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 38 years, M. Eddie Barrero; her children: Tony Andrews, Michael Andrews, and Jean Lackey; Stepchildren: Richard, Craig, and Wayne Barrero; Grandchildren: Katie Young, Brian Andrews, Alexis Lackey, Jessica Gray, Ashley Andrews, and Jamie Andrews; and great grandchildren: Owen, Maddison, Connor, and Elizabeth.

A private celebration of life was held on June 4 ^th , 2023. The family would like to thank Hospice for the compassionate care they provided, and The Ocala Golf Club for providing the venue. Donations in her name can be sent to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
