Carolyn Sue Bergk, 76, passed away on January 16, 2023, in Sarasota, Florida. Sue was born on July 11, 1946, in North Manchester, Indiana to Arthur Bergk of Wabash, Indiana and Mattie (Wilcox) Bergk of North Manchester, Indiana. Carolyn married Jospeh Ankrom of Muncie, Indiana in 1966, divorcing in 1978, but they enjoyed raising their three young sons, Richard (Rick), David, and Joseph Jr. together. Although Carolyn lost her own Mother, Mattie Bergk in 1966 and her Father, Arthur Bergk in 1968, she enjoyed life as a Mother and could often be found playing board games or even trying to throw a frisbee with her sons. As Carolyn's sons grew and began families of their own, she decided a warmer climate in Florida would suit her best, away from the brutal cold winters Northern Indiana offered. She also enjoyed visiting with her 8 grandchildren any chance she could, always with open arms and a gentle humor that left others giggling for hours. Her love of Jesus Christ was above all things in this world, and she spent countless hours watching TV sermons and attending church whenever her health allowed. Although her passing has left a void in the hearts of her loved ones, each knows they will see her again in heaven and celebrate a life of love.
