It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Jo Dixon. She passed away on October 21, 2026, in Ocala, Florida.

Carolyn was born on September 22, 1967, in Titusville, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Titusville High School, where she played basketball. She moved to Ocala after graduation and went on to earn an associate degree in business from Rasmussen College in Ocala, Florida.

Carolyn served the City of Ocala for 25½ years, retiring as Division Head for Fleet and Facilities. Her years of service were an important part of her life and her connection to the community.

Among Carolyn’s favorite pastimes were cooking with her boys and going to antique sales and “junking.” Time together in the kitchen and the search for a special find were simple pleasures she loved.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Steve Dixon, and her sons, Stephen Dixon and Garrett Dixon. Her memory lives on in the moments they shared, especially the time spent cooking together and enjoying the things she loved.
