Carolyn Marie Shackleton Sprague (75), of Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday September 19, 2024. Carolyn was born on April 27, 1949, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to Lawrence and Prudence Shackleton. She graduated from Edinboro State College and started her 42-year teaching career with further education to include two Master's Degrees in Education and Education with Counseling and worked until her retirement in 2010.

Carolyn is predeceased by her parents Lawerence Carmel Shackleton and Prudence Virginia Atkins.

She is survived by her husband Dennis L. Sprague, his Daughter Michele Abrari (Majid). Her brothers Robert Douglas Shackleton (Joyce), Lawrence Carmel Shackleton JR (Julie), sisters Dorothy Ann Shackleton and Virginia Shackleton Miller. She also has 12 nieces and nephews, 25 great nieces and nephews and 8 great great nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was very active in the Margaritaville community, and she served as President of the Artists & Crafters In Paradise for two years. She was one of the founders of the Flamingals group, and active in Bocce Ball and Corn Hole leagues. She enjoyed card making, embroidery and quilting along with traveling to fun destinations with Dennis.

She will be greatly remembered for her captivating blue eyes, dazzling smile and her unlimited kindness.

Celebration of Life for Carolyn will be announced at a later date.
