Carrol Ann
Walther
Jul 22, 1942 — Oct 24, 2026
A life well lived leaves a love that never fades. With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Carrol Ann Walther (Constant), who died peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Marrero, Louisiana, to the late Sterling and Lorraine Constant (Sarthou), Carrol lived a life grounded in faith, family, and love. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud sister, cherished nana and great-nana, and a faithful servant of the Lord.
Carrol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Walther, her favorite dance partner and lifelong companion. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Embers, and her husband, Richard, of Lenexa, Kansas; her son, Craig Walther, and his fiancée, Rebecca Fazzio, of Ormond Beach, Florida; and her sisters, Betty Constant of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Evelyn Murden of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Sterling Embers of Loveland, Colorado; Kate Dunn of Port Orange, Florida; Maddy Walther of Jacksonville, Florida; and Matthew Embers of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and by her five great-grandchildren, Penelope, Peyton, Paisley, Everlee, and Tatum, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Carrol had a rare gift for making others feel valued. A wonderful conversationalist and an even better listener, she shared her wisdom through gentle encouragement and quiet advice, always leading by example. Her patience, kindness, and generosity reached far beyond her own family, and during her years in Kansas City, Missouri, she became a second "mom" to countless neighborhood children.
She cherished family gatherings, traveling, music, and dancing with Larry. A devoted Elvis Presley fan, she also had a sharp mind and a playful, competitive spirit. An accomplished card player, from Texas hold’em to blackjack, she modestly credited her success to luck rather than skill. She delighted in playing Mah Jong with friends and teaching her family the games she loved. Behind the scenes, she capably managed the family’s investments and real estate holdings.
Above all, Carrol treasured her family and the moments they shared. Her infectious laughter, unconditional love, and gift for making everyone feel special will never be forgotten. Her sunshine, loving spirit, devotion to family, and abundant goodness will remain forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Carrol on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages, FL. Her family warmly invites all who loved her to join them in remembrance.
