Catherine was born in 1953 in New London, Ohio. She passed away on March 11, 2025, at a senior living facility in Sarasota, Florida. We know she is now in the loving arms of her savior. Her parents were John Forbes Staples and Ruth Louise Hicok. She graduated from New London High School and worked for Family and Children Services in Ohio where she was an assistant director. She later worked for Fidelity Investments and retired in 2013. She was married to the love of her life Gary DeWalt for 39 years. Her siblings are Ted Staples of West Virginia and Karen Merrill of Florida. Her favorite stepson is Trenton DeWalt. A graveside memorial will be held July 2025 and interment of cremated remains at Fitch Ville Township Ohio Cemetery in Fitch Ville, Ohio.
