Catherine B. Gross, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away at the age of 89 on June 26, 2023, after a long illness. She was born on April 3, 1934, in Queens, New York to Charles and Harriet Barrett. As a graduate of Dominican Commercial High School, she worked at Chubb Insurance Company in New York City and rose from Executive Assistant to the President.

Catherine married David A. Gross and resided in Tarrytown, New York, where she was an active member of Transfiguration Church. Catherine was always ready to help a friend in need and volunteered for many charities and church organizations. She enjoyed bowling and crocheting. Catherine had a mischievous sense of humor and was a delight to her family and friends, and later to some special caregivers at Bishop's Glen / Woodmark, which was her last residence.

Catherine was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her brother Charles Barrett.

Catherine leaves behind cousins and friends who will smile when they recall her gentle whit, generous spirit, fascination with clouds, and her faithfulness to her purse. But, no coconut.
