Catherine “Kathy” Faye Ryan (79), of Savage, MD, passed away quietly on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Mother to Jeremy Smith (Mark), Jason Smith (Meg), and Carrie Jackson (Cody). She is survived by her siblings, Betty Jane Larkins, Patrick S. Ryan (Nancy), and Lyman "Jack" Ryan (Lynn); three grandchildren, Chris, Cole (Soyla), and Madison (Jacob); and two great-grandchildren, Colter and Clinton; her loving friend and aide, Lucie; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Dixie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John G. Ryan and Hattie Evelyn Ryan Welch ("Aunt Fats"), as well as her brothers, John G. Ryan, Rocky R. Ryan, and Larry R. Ryan.

Kathy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a lover of dogs and cats. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local SPCA.
