Cathy departed us unexpectedly on December 23rd at the age of 42. Cathy leaves behind her family to cherish her memory, her mother Bessie Nieves (Dempsey) & father Bernardino Nieves from Grafton, Ohio, her twin sister Connie Nieves from Port Clinton, Ohio, her older sister Millie Nieves-Price from Circleville, Ohio. Children Daniel Skidmore (Pensacola, FL), Michael Skidmore (Circleville, OH) & Laymen Lee Layne (Titusville, FL), stepsons Matthew Skidmore & Christopher Skidmore of Daytona Beach, FL. Cathy was preceded in death by husband John Raymond Skidmore of Daytona Beach, FL in 2004. Close friends include Rod Anderson of Port Orange, FL, who she loved dearly, and Laymen Layne, whom she cared for and shared a home with. Cathy was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 10, 1979 and was raised in Grafton, later graduating from Midview High School in 1997. In 2019, Cathy graduated with an Associate of Science in Medical Billing and Coding from the Ultimate Medical Academy. Some of Cathy's hobbies included fishing, cooking, automobiles, antiquing, & gardening.
