Obituary

Charles “Chip” Plourde, 75, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on July 3, 2026. He was born August 5, 1950 in Framingham, Massachusetts to Charles and Kathleen (Kannar) Plourde. Chip graduated from Framingham South High School in 1968, He then got his associate's degree at Mass Bay Community College and a bachelor's degree from Framingham State College. His working career included jobs at Caldor, Ericsson and GE HealthCare. Most of his career he worked in accounting. In Chip's younger days, he played softball for various local teams in Massachusetts. He loved playing Texas Hold 'Em, especially after retiring to The Villages. His hobbies included collecting baseball cards and researching his family tree. He even found a few distant relatives who live in The Villages. Chip loved watching sports, rooting for the New England teams, Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. He also loved to cruise with friends and family. Chip had a great personality and a positive attitude. He faced many health challenges and did so with grace. He will be truly missed. Chip is survived by his wife Kathy; sister Pat Nutting; niece Tina Falls; nephews Brian Lutz (Fanny), Steve Faro, Tommy Faro and Billy Faro (Meredith); great nephews Jesse (Hannah), Justin, Dustin (Maggie), Cody (Vina) and Kyle (Nicole); great niece Haylee; great-great nieces, Aubrey, Rihanna, Winter, Ximena, Isabella, and Sofia and great-great nephew Joel. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Stephen Church in Framingham on Wednesday, August 5th at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Stephen Cemetery. Afterwards, a luncheon will be held at La Cantina Italiana Restaurant in Framingham. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in The Villages. Donations can be made to Parkinson's Association of Central Florida or Michael J. Fox Foundation
