Charles Raymond
Doster
Jun 21, 1949 — Jul 4, 2026
It is with profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Raymond Doster, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, firefighter, businessman, loyal friend, and devoted sports enthusiast.
Throughout his life, Raymond was known for his unwavering commitment to serving others. After servicing for 32-years as a firefighter and fire chief at Robins Air Force Base, he courageously answered the call demonstrating strength, compassion, and selflessness. His years of service reflected not only his bravery but also his genuine desire to protect and care for those around him.
In addition to his public service, Raymond was a respected businessman whose integrity, hard work, and determination earned the trust and admiration of colleagues, customers, and friends alike. He believed that success was measured not only by accomplishments but by the relationships built along the way.
Away from work, Raymond found great joy in sports particularly baseball. Whether playing minor league ball, cheering from the stands, watching games with family, or sharing stories of legendary players and unforgettable moments, his love for America's pastime brought people together and created lasting memories.
Above all else, Raymond cherished his family. He was the proud and devoted husband to his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Betty), a loving father of Audrey Paige (Hunter Evans) and Raymond Brad. Grandfather to Christopher, Benjamin, Betsy, Trevor and loving great grandfather to Raegan, Camden, and Addison. His family was the center of his world.
To his many friends, Raymond was dependable, generous, and genuine. He had an impish smile, a welcoming spirit, twinkling eyes, and a gift for making everyone feel valued. His laughter, stories, and steady presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a remarkable life defined by courage, dedication, love, and service. His example reminds us to work hard, love deeply, help others, and treasure every moment with family and friends.
Raymond leaves behind a family who loved him dearly, countless friends whose lives he touched, and a community made better because he was part of it.
His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
A Celebration of Life will be held at La Hacienda Recreation Center, 1200 Avenida Central, Lady Lake, FL 32159 on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Raymond’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital @ https://www.stjude.org
